Yoga Sessions

I offer specialised yoga sessions for adults, teens or seniors. In each session, I share practices and techniques to encourage improvement in quality of life, and provide hope and possibility for living a better life. I teach individually or in groups at yoga studios, corporate environment, community centres or at your home. I also offer online sessions on Zoom or Skype, making yoga accessible at your own preferred place.


Each session is unique and tailored to your needs according to your physical and psychological capacity on the actual day. Sessions may be a combination of physical exercises, breathing techniques, mindfulness, meditation and guided relaxation. Sessions may include movement ranging from gentle to vigorous and physical postures.

Yoga for Burnout

The effects of burnout are exhausting, leaving people at a vulnerable state. Evidence supports the efficacy of yoga to improve levels of emotional, mental and physical health in Burnout (PubMed). Working with mindfulness and self-awareness, yoga can be a great tool to provide you with strength to cope with negative thoughts and help you to reduce emotional exhaustion, anxiety and stress. Yoga can support you to develop awareness of how certain behaviours impact your mood and the way you cope with stress. It allows you to feel more in control and progressively challenge feelings that could prevent your improvement. Through movement, restorative poses, breathing techniques, guided relaxation, yoga practice allows you to use your body to influence the mind and promote wellbeing.

Yoga for Low Back Pain

The practice of yoga, including postures, breathing, meditation and other techniques has shown to support the management and easing of pain symptoms.  It is scientifically proven that yoga is effective for mild to moderate chronic low back pain (Pubmed.gov PMID 225500659, ClinicalTrials.gov ID NCT01343927).

Chronic pain it is likely to cause you distress and detachment from your body. Yoga can help you to connect your body and your mind and break the vicious cycle of pain by progressively decreasing deconditioning and strengthening your body in a safely and mindful manner. Yoga can bring a sense of unity between body and mind, and help to improve your quality of life by redefining your relationship with pain and decrease the perception of pain. 
Yoga has been included in NICE guidelines for Lower Back Pain and it is now recommended as non-invasive measure

Yoga for Neck Pain

The area around the neck holds a lot of stress and tension. Stress, bad posture and breathing can aggravate neck pain. Yoga is effective in relieving neck pain intensity and improve pain-related function disability. Through gentle, slow movements, rhythmic exercises combined with breathing, and by examining your spinal alignment, my intention is to bring awareness to your body posture and positively effect neck pain by releasing stiffness and strengthen the neck-shoulder area. In addition, yoga will gradually support your quality of life and improve your mood in a holistic way.

Yoga for perimenopause and menopause

In our society people are not speaking up about menopause and awareness is very limited. Dr Rebecca Lewis, a GP at Newson Health, said: “Women are suffering quietly for fear of saying ‘it’s the menopause’ and being laughed at and told to get on with it .”

Menopause is a part of every woman's life. It can start as early as the age of 30 and can last until as late as the age of 60. It is a natural biological process of the female life cycle, though the risk for Osteoporosis, Heart Disease, Weight gain increases after Menopause.  Through yoga sessions, I focus to provide a holistic personalised practice as symptoms are not the same for every woman. Yoga sessions aim to enable you to manage or prevent your symptoms, improve posture and joint mobility and enhance your overall quality of life and mood.

Yoga therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for many people suffering from (condition), or research conducted in 'demonstrated that yoga and mindfulness reduced (x and y symptoms).' One of the main goals in yoga is to create and maintain balance in all of our activities. The energy and the sensations of the body influence the energy of the mind and the quality of your thoughts. Developing self-awareness and being able to recognise mind-body signs early enough are an important mechanism in maintaining good health.

Yoga for Seniors

Growing evidence supports that yoga has many health benefits for senior people, from improving mood, reducing blood pressure and heart rate to easing pain. Yoga is an energetic and accessible mean to enhance your quality of life and soften symptoms caused by age-related conditions, such as Arthritis, Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, chronic pain and heart disease when it is done in a safe and gentle manner. Yoga can increase the sensitivity of your mechanoreceptors, enhancing your awareness and sensations, improve your balance and reduce the risk of fall. Yoga can optimise bone health through physical activities and safe postures. It improves postural instability and reduces muscle  rigidity. We work together to assess your needs to establish a safe and pleasant practice that suits you the most. We start gently and slowly, building up awareness and strength. The intensity of a session is always adapted to how you feel on the day of practice.

Yoga to manage grief or loss

Yoga can help you to reduce anxiety and support your process of bereavement. Mental and physical illness go hand in hand, and yoga naturally influences both in positive ways. It promotes positive behaviours, and it is associated with self empowerment and self-regulatory techniques. Through these yoga sessions you learn techniques to manage emotional pain and sad or hurtful thoughts to allow you gradually to find resilience and start unravelling  that vital aspects of healing

Yoga for Chronic Conditions

Living with chronic conditions is extremely challenging. Yoga techniques can ease some of the physical and emotional symptoms of your condition. Research has shown that yoga can improve the physical, emotional and psychological health of people suffering from chronic conditions. I bring the tools and techniques to help you increase your energy levels and support your physical and mental capacity in a safe and holistic way. A chronic condition can be the result of the interaction between biological, psychological and social factors. Yoga can help you to develop a greater ability to stay with uncomfortable physical and emotional feelings. Yoga can offer a route to working on softening some of the symptoms of your condition where the medical and scientific models falter. Together we reassess and reappraise your situation and your needs to establish useful ways of dealing with the circumstances of your condition.
