I was born and brought up in Greece, lived in the UK and I have now made my home in Brussels, Belgium. I started my journey in yoga in August 2013. I had my training at Yyoga in Brussels. In January 2019, I embarked on a fascinating journey to become a Yoga Therapist at The Minded Institute in London.
I initially started yoga for physical benefits and as a way to help relieve low back pain. It was owing to one of my best friends who invited me to try yoga. That very first class had a profound impact on my relationship to yoga. I liked the way it made me feel, stretched out my muscles, energised and more importantly it relaxed my body and my mind. I felt healthier and stronger afterwards. The regular practice of yoga slowly reduced the low back pain unpleasantness and intensity. It positively affected my mood and provided mental and emotional stability. In addition, yoga gave me a sense of community and offered social support, establishing a feeling of connectivity and cohesion in my life.
